Stump Removal is our specialty, and like people, no two are exactly alike. We have the experience and equipment
to accomplish almost any stump removal task.
If your stump is located within a limited access area, i.e. within a fence, close proximity situations,
or even delicate landscapes, we own the equipment and skills to get the job done right.
Location, size, and species are all determining factors in considering stump grinding and/or removal
prices.
Removing unwanted stumps will enhance the appearance of any landscape and it is also the most
cost effective method for any landscape site prep.
When we grind a stump, it will leave a hole and a pile of dirt/mulch mixture. We do not remove
the pile of mulch unless otherwise specified in the contract.
The size of the stump, and the surface root area will determine the amount of dirt/mulch mixture
generated from the stump grinding process. It will appear as though an atomic rototiller has had a picnic
in your yard.
You may possibly be left with enough mulch to spread throughout all of your flowerbeds. But beware,
depending on the level of stump decay, or to what degree the wood chips may have are already cured, it may
be harmful to put this mulch around your delicate flowers.
If the tree was alive, (still green), and recently cut down, the wood chips from the
stump may still contain large amounts of nitrogen, which may actually harm your
plants/flowers. However, if the stump has been decaying for a long time prior to
stump grinding, the mulch may have cured enough to be safely applied in plant beds,
and around flowers, but this is not highly recommended.
Again, we do offer mulch removal and cleanup, but generally this is a separate fee.
With safety always in mind, each stump removal task is evaluated individually and
methodically.
The possibility of buried utilities, or other underground lines are always a potential hazard.
When this situation presents itself, we always call the utility company before we dig. They offer a free
public service to come out and locate buried lines such as electric, gas, telephone, as well as a host of
other potential hazards. These are those funny paint lines you find all over the ground, and yes, each color has a
specific meaning.
To date, we have never used a chemical stump removal process. Nor do we believe that one
exists.
We're serious about stump removal and it gives us great satisfaction in knowing that a client's landscape
project can continue without further complications or headaches.
If your stump is large or small ... we've done 'em all..
